Is Vinegar for Toenail Fungus Effective?

Vinegar to treat various health issues has been used for thousands of years, in Ancient Greece, China and so on. As with other types of yeast or fungal infections, there are many supposedly effective home remedies out there for toenail fungus and vinegar is one of them.

Both apple cider vinegar or white vinegar can be used. Toenail fungus is difficult to treat whichever treatment method you choose, the fungus is protected by the nail which means any treatment has trouble reaching it, and it takes time for a healthy nail to grow through and you are completely free.

If you have a severe toenail fungus it is unlikely that any home remedy will work, and even over the counter treatments may struggle. You may need a prescribed anti-fungal treatment from your doctor. But for mild problems, some people find that home remedies such as vinegar for toenail fungus are effective.
